Learn More

Overview

An executive development program to impart the skills required to manage agribusiness enterprises and develop value chains. It includes the enterprise perspective of managing small to medium agricultural enterprises to grow and the policy perspective of developing value chains to be competitive.

The enterprise management component equips managers with the skills for decision-making on investment and growth, project management, enhancing competitiveness and meeting the needs of increasingly demanding consumer-centric food systems.

The policy perspective strengthens decision-making skills for choosing value chains, diagnosing constraints and crafting interventions, including partnerships with private enterprises and collectives, to create a conducive ecosystem to drive development that benefits producers and consumers.

Who benefits?

  • Practitioners and mid-career professionals managing small to medium agricultural enterprises, including producer organizations and leading value chain development programs.
  • The latter group would include staff of agricultural ministries, non-governmental organizations, projects developing agricultural value chains and the private sector. Ideally, a combined audience of private enterprise managers and development practitioners would enhance lateral learning and build holistic perspectives.
  • The training, which can be customized, is ideal for projects that diagnose constraints, identify opportunities for development and are considering to dialogue with private enterprises.
